'Stamp out Hunger' to collect food donations for Care and Share

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Postal workers will accept food donations at mailboxes in southern Colorado on May 11.

According to the USPS, "Stamp out Hunger" is the largest single-day food drive. Anyone can leave a bag of canned goods, including peanut butter, vegetables, and other non-perishable items right by their mailbox.

A letter carrier will then take the donations to Care and Share, which will distribute the food to its partner agencies throughout southern Colorado.

USPS points out that not every letter carrier will participate in "Stamp out Hunger." If you'd like to find out if your local post office is participating, CLICK HERE .
