PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - The body of a 76-year-old man was found in a burning home.
Police say the man's son returned to the home the two shared around 5 Monday evening and saw smoke coming from inside the house. He ran in and found the kitchen on fire. The son grabbed a fire extinguisher and as he worked to put the flames out, he found his father's body.
The home is located on Massari Road in the Belmont neighborhood in Pueblo.
Officials said Tuesday that the fire was accidental and started by a cigarette.
The cause of the victim's death has not been released. He has not been identified.
