Skeletal remains found in Stratmoor area ID'd

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Skeletal remains found just south of the Springs have been identified.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday that the deceased is James L. Suggs, born in May 1963.

The remains were found in the 4600 block of South Academy Boulevard in the Stratmoor area late Saturday morning, with a gym bag, cell phone and hoodie located nearby. It's not clear how long Suggs has been dead, but the sheriff's office says it does not appear that foul play was involved.

The county coroner is still working to determine a cause and manner of death.

"We would like to express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Suggs," the sheriff's office said in a statement Tuesday.
