CIMARRON HILLS, Colo. (KKTV) - The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is asking for help in locating a man wanted for attempted first-degree murder.
On Friday, the sheriff's office announced James Roberson, pictured at the top of this article on the left, had a warrant issued for the charges of conspiracy, attempted first-degree murder, second-degree kidnapping, first-degree assault and aggravated robbery. He is described as a white male, 6'0", 150 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
The shooting happened at the Maveric Convenience Store at 2477 Peterson Rd. on Sept. 18.
A second suspect is in custody. Nicholas Daniels is facing charges of second-degree kidnapping, first-degree assault and aggravated robbery. Daniels is pictured on the right.
"I can tell you that we are waiting for some surveillance footage from the business where the victim was dropped, to see if we can obtain any suspect vehicle description or suspect description," El Paso County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Jacqueline Kirby said the morning of the shooting.
Deputies did find a car stopped in the road at Peterson and Sequoyah that they reportedly believe is related to the investigation, but deputies would not elaborate on how.
