The crime happened in an area near the 2000 block of La Salle Street close to N. Union Boulevard and Constitution Avenue. The call came into police at about 3:43 p.m. A woman was found dead.

"All parties are accounted for and there is no immediate threat to the public," police wrote in a release. "While this is still early in the investigation, it appears that this incident involved two individuals who were known to each other and resided in the same residence."
