2 seriously hurt in northeast Springs shooting; 1 victim found in grocery store parking lot

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A gunman remains at large after two people were shot multiple times late Saturday night.

Based on the investigation, police say the shooting happened at Candleflower Park near Research Parkway and Rangewood Drive. The female victim was left at the scene while the male victim and second man drove 2 miles to the King Soopers at Rangewood and Woodmen. The victim tried getting out of the car and collapsed in the store parking lot.

Officers swarmed both locations around 10 Saturday night. The vehicle at King Soopers was riddled with bullet holes, and detectives found more shell casings at the park.

Police told 11 News the female victim had been shot twice and was transported to the hospital from Candleflower Park. Police did not have the exact number of times the male victim was hit, only saying he was shot "multiple times." He was treated in the grocery store parking lot and then transported to the hospital.

Both victims are around 19-20 years old. They are expected to survive.

At the time of this writing, no suspect description has been made available.
