COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A man classified as a sexually violent predator in the eyes of the law moved to Colorado Springs recently.
Police are required to notify the public when a sexually violent predator moves within city limits. Jerrell Jamil Evans is homeless and should be living in the area of Murray Boulevard and Platte Avenue according to police. An exact address was not provided.
Evans was convicted of second-degree sexual assault in 2001 in El Paso County. He has also been convicted of felony escape in 2007, drug possession crimes and felony menacing.
Evans is described as a 36-year-old black man, 6', about 215 pounds with black hair that was recently shaved. A picture of Evans is at the top of this article.
According to police Evans is one of 16 sexually violent predators registered in Colorado Springs.
