MONUMENT, Colo. (KKTV) - Lewis-Palmer School District 38 says a rumored threat was found to be not credible.
The district was alerted to the potential threat Thursday night through Safe2Tell, an anonymous tip line for students. According to a text to parents from the district, it originated on Snapchat and targeted Lewis-Palmer High School.
The district sent a followup text Thursday night and posted an update on their website stating that the threat was not real and school would be proceeding as normal Friday.
Spokesperson Julie Stephens stressed the district takes every rumored threat extremely seriously.
