COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Monday is your chance to help an organization full of people who help so many others in our community.


On Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. you can call 719-457-0640 or text PPUW to 85511 to donate to Pikes Peak United Way 2-1-1.


Pikes Peak United Way makes it easy for people in search of help to find it. Pikes Peak United Way 2-1-1 provides referrals for food, housing, utilities, home repair, emergency shelter, clothing, transportation, military assistance, taxes, mental health, senior issues, substance abuse and so much more. The three digit number helps people in 12 counties serving Alamosa, Conejos, Costilla, Chaffee, Cheyenne, El Paso, Lincoln, Mineral, Park, Rio Grande, Saguache and Teller. Trained professionals staff the hotline from 8 in the morning until 5 p.m.

In 2018 alone, Pikes Peak United Way 2-1-1 provided life-changing information and referrals to more than 37,000 people and families in need according to its website.

Pikes Peak United Way focuses on three main aspects of the community:

YOUTH SUCCESS: We are working to ensure youth have the tools they need to develop literacy, graduate on time and be prepared for college and the workforce.

FINANCIAL STABILITY: Our programs are helping families escape from poverty and homelessness.

HEALTH: We make sure families have access to basic needs including food, housing and healthcare.
