Rider charged with DUI following motorcycle crash

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A motorcycle rider was arrested for alleged drunk driving after crashing his bike Sunday evening.

Police say the rider lost control while traveling on South Circle between Airport and Pikes Peak and was thrown from his bike. He was not wearing a helmet and suffered serious injuries, though police say he is expected to survive.

Along with DUI, the rider is facing several other traffic-related charges. He has been identified as 36-year-old Darren Snow.
