COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A car theft outside a Springs convenience store is an unfortunate reminder that you should never, ever puff.

"Puffing," as 11 News has reported many times, is an easy way to lose your car. The term is defined as leaving your vehicle running unattended, is common this time of year, and last year resulted in nearly 200 stolen cars.

In this most recent theft case, police say a car was left running outside a gas station on Jet Wing Drive near Fountain Boulevard just after 10 Sunday night. And that's all it takes, police have told 11 News -- just a minute of opportunity is all crooks need.

A warm car is never worth it.
