"We'll be in Colorado a lot actually," President Donald Trump announced at the White House this week with a slight smile on his face

President Trump was delivering remarks at the White House Summit on "Child Care and Paid Leave: Supporting America’s Working Families" when he made the statement about coming to the Centennial State.

The comment from the president came just after an invite was put forward by Brittany Hasemann. Hasemann runs Little Imaginations Child Care in Fruita.

“On behalf of Little Imaginations, we would like to invite Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump, if you guys ever get in Colorado, come see our site, thank you.”

The president responded saying he and Ivanka plan to be in Colorado "a lot."

"We have a great senator in Colorado, we have to get him extended. I'll be there a lot," the president added.

Republican Sen. Cory Gardner is up for reelection in 2020.
