Power outage closes Pikes Peak Community College and Penrose Library in Colorado Springs on Thursday

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A power outage forced the closure of Penrose Library in Colorado Springs on Thursday.

The library was closed as of 3 p.m. There was no update on when it would reopen.

Pikes Peak Community College announced it was closing the downtown Studio Campus at 4:30 p.m. due to the outage.

According to Colorado Springs Utilities, the outage started just before 3 p.m. and impacted about 58 customers. Power was expected to be restored before 7 p.m.
