Two people were taken to the hospital Tuesday night for a possible DUI crash.
Colorado Springs police said drugs or alcohol may have been a factor in the crash that happened at about 7 p.m. in the intersection of Constitution and Murray. The crash forced the closure of westbound Constitution and southbound Murray for more than two hours.
Police say the initial investigation shows a driver traveling east on Constitution turned left, failing to yield to a car traveling westbound on Constitution. A 19-year-old driver, traveling east, is believed to have caused the crash. At some point that 19-year-old driver is expected to be cited for careless driving and possibly DUI.
A passenger in the 19-year-old driver's car suffered a broken leg. The 19-year-old driver had a minor head injury.
The driver of the westbound car was not injured.
