Colorado Springs police investigate deadly stabbing; victim ID'd

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The victim in a deadly stabbing has been identified.

Police said David Hagen, 31, was killed July 3 in a home on University Drive.

Police said the incident was reported at 5:28 p.m. near the 200 block of University Drive. When officers arrived at the scene near Airport Road and South Academy Boulevard, they found a man from suffering from "life-threatening" stab wounds.

Hagen was taken to a local hospital, where he later passed away from his injuries.

Officers said everyone involved in the incident has been "identified and contacted." There is no danger to the public.

The death has been ruled a homicide.
