Police investigate head-on crash in Colorado Springs

Officers said one man was behind bars Friday afternoon after caused a dangerous traffic accident while driving drunk in Colorado Springs.
The crash happened at 7:15 p.m. on Nevada Avenue near Polk Street. Investigators said 61-year-old Adolph Ballejos was driving into oncoming traffic on Nevada Avenue and struck a vehicle head-on.
The victim's injuries were serious, but not life threatening.
Investigators believe alcohol played a factor in the accident.
Ballejos was arrested for vehicular assault, DUI, and other traffic charges. He was later taken to the Criminal Justice Center in El Paso County.
