Two murder cases in the span of a few days may be linked.

One of the suspects, 24-year-old Haywood Miller Jr., is behind bars. His presumed accomplice, 25-year-old Richard Spanks, remains on the run. He is being aggressively hunted by police.

The suspects are accused of gunning down four people, leaving only one survivor.

Miller and Spanks were originally linked to a

Tuesday.

Arrest papers for Miller say the first shooting may have started over a marijuana deal. Marcus Williams, 21, and a second man were both shot in a home on the 2000 block of Carmel Drive. Williams died, while the other man remains in critical condition. The surviving victim's son saw the whole thing, according to the affidavit.

On Tuesday morning, 33-year-old Jacquline Cline and 23-year-old Victoria Loftis were found dead inside a home on Mosswood Lane, less than a mile from Saturday's shooting.

A family friend of one of the victims said he believes they were found tied up and shot execution style.

"It really affects you, it really does, because like I said, she was a sweet girl and there's no need for this to go down this way," David Bean said.

Spanks, the suspect on the run, has a lengthy criminal history. 11 News has learned he also has ties to the Denver metro area, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. Police say he should be considered armed and extremely dangerous. Investigators are interested in locating a vehicle registered to Spanks and described as a red 2010 Kia Forte EX, Colorado license plate QNC 845, VIN number KNAFU4A26A5053180.
