Man arrested for attempted murder in Pueblo hit-and-run crash

PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - Less than 24 hours after a man was found lying in a driveway with life-threatening injuries, police arrested a suspect for attempted first-degree murder.

Pueblo Police announced the arrest of 23-year-old Dennis Fidel Gonzales on Thursday. He was found at about 12:30 p.m. on Thursday and booked on charges of felony warrants.

Police were called to the hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian at 27th Street and Morris on Wednesday. The 22-year-old victim was found lying in a driveway at about 1:15 p.m.

Police shared a photo of the suspect's vehicle, a black truck, a short time after the crime.

Police didn't share details on how the suspect was located. This article will be updated as more information becomes available.
