Pedestrian killed after being struck by Denver light rail

DENVER (KKTV) - A pedestrian has died after colliding with a Denver light rail Saturday morning.

Denver police said the pedestrian was hit by the light rail just before 7:30 a.m. at West Bayaud Avenue and South Cherokee Street, which is about 2 miles south of the state capitol. The police department confirmed later that the victim died.

As of Sunday there has been no further information released.
