DENVER (KKTV) - Motorists planning to travel along I-70 should be aware of a full closure on part of the highway this weekend.
CDOT is warning drivers I-70 will be closed between I-270 and Colorado Boulevard starting April 12 at 10 p.m. The closure is scheduled to last through April 15 at about 5:30 in the morning. The closure is so crews can safely set bridge beams on the new I-270 flyover structure that will eventually take southbound I-270 traffic to eastbound I-70.
A map of the closure is at the top of this article.
The schedule could change depending on weather.
