Overnight earthquake shakes Glenwood Springs area

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A magnitude 3.1 earthquake rocked the Glenwood Springs area early Friday morning. According to the U.S.G.S., it hit about 3 miles northwest of the town around 2 a.m.

Our news partners in Denver report that some people who live on the north end of the Roaring Fork Valley felt the quake.

Earthquakes in central Colorado aren't uncommon, but they're also not usually considered strong.

There are no reports of damage or injuries.
