SPRINGFIELD, Colo. (KKTV) - All involved walked away with minor injuries after an SUV and two semi-trailers crashed outside Springfield Saturday morning.

State Patrol says the driver of the SUV was trying to get around a Freightliner on southbound Highway 287. While passing, she found herself in the path of a northbound Kenworth. The two vehicles collided, with the force pushing both vehicles off the road. The Freightliner wasn't directly involved in the crash but sustained damage from debris.

The driver of the SUV, 67-year-old Lillie Victor of Houston, and her two passengers suffered minor injuries and were taken to Southeast Colorado Hospital in Springfield for treatment. Neither truck driver was hurt.

Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.

Troopers are advising motorists to remember to give themselves plenty of distance when passing on two-lane highways.
