The owner and chef of Brother Luck Street Eats in Old Colorado City is celebrating victory after beating celebrity chef Bobby Flay in a well-known cooking competition.

Brother Luck's recipe, a southwest pork slider with chipotle, gave him the win on the Food Network show "Beat Bobby Flay."

"I figured if I was gonna go against Bobby Flay I had to do pork and I had to do southwestern flavors to beat the best," Luck told 11 News.

The show filmed back in December and Luck admits it was tough to keep quiet on his bragging rights for so long.

"Flay was very upset to lose but he was also very complimentary. He told me I put out an amazing dish, everything looked pretty well and he gave me a big congratulations."

Luck said he hopes to get Colorado Springs on the map for cuisine, adding he was filming a few other shows for Food Network, but couldn't elaborate.

"I can't wait to see what's next. I'm just taking it day by day right now."
