Keith Cerny, the Valley Courier publisher, shared information he gathered on a devastating blaze in a small Colorado community.
Video shared by Cerny showcases the destruction of the fire that nearly destroyed a full city block in Moffat, a town about 40 miles north of Alamosa. The blaze claimed three homes, including a house that may have been the first structure ever built in the town of fewer than 200.
No people were injured in the blaze, but a couple of animals may have perished.
Saguache County Sheriff Dan Warwick told the Valley Courier newspaper in Alamosa that firefighters ran out of water because there are no hydrants in the town.
