DELTA COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - A man drowned Tuesday after falling off a paddle board, according to the Delta County Sheriff's Office.
The 44-year-old was paddle boarding at Eggleston Lake on top of Grand Mesa Tuesday evening when he fell, reports sister station KKCO. People with him were unable to get him out of the water; search rescue crews later recovered his body.
No identifying information about the victim has been released other than his age and being from Grand Junction.
There are 300 lakes and reservoirs on Grand Mesa, the largest flat-top mountains in the world.
