COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police are looking for three suspects who assaulted a man outside a Colorado Springs Loaf 'n Jug.

The victim said he was attacked in the parking lot at the gas station off Airport Road just west of Powers. One of the suspects was carrying a knife and a second suspect had a gun.

"When officers arrived on scene, we contacted a male up front. He has lacerations to his face, to his hands and on top of his foot," said Sgt. Robert Wilson with the Colorado Springs Police Department.

The victim told police he was stabbed and slashed several times before he could finally escape.

"Right now, the investigation is ongoing, so we don’t know what type of crime it is. That young man has been transported to the hospital. It doesn’t look like his injuries are life-threatening, but it does look like he has serious bodily injury," Wilson said.

According to Wilson, the attack appeared to be random.

"According to the victim, he doesn’t know the suspects, so obviously we want people to be careful, but right now, we don’t have any reason to believe that anybody else is in danger, any of the public is in danger at this time."

The only suspect description police have at this time is that one of the men was Hispanic and the other two were light-skinned black males. Anyone with information is asked to call CSPD at 719-444-7000.
