COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police in Colorado Springs have learned new details about a death investigation that happened earlier this week.
On Monday, Springs fire officials responded to the 360 block of Galley Road after receiving reports that a person was not breathing.
When officials arrived, they found 50-year-old Patrick Bustamante with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on scene.
Police say Bustamante was struck by a round of bullets fired by his son, 23-year-old Patrick Salazar-Bustamante.
Salazar-Bustamante was arrested and is now facing manslaughter charges.
According to the Springs Police Department, this is now the 33rd homicide in 2018.
