A man was sentenced Wednesday for victimizing several people in Colorado Springs through Craigslist.

On February 27, Tyshawn Gayle, 23, pleaded guilty to four felony charges including burglary, theft and two counts of attempted burglary.

There were at least 10 incidents reported to police. In most cases, Gayle would answer a Craiglist advertisement for a roommate, move in, then move out less than a month later while his new roommate was away from home.

Before leaving the house for good, he'd take items from victims including money, video game systems, a car, or other personal belongings.

On Wednesday, Gayle was sentenced to five years in prison, followed by five years of probation. Prior to the sentencing, he was rejected by community corrections.

One victim 11 News reporter Khloe Keeler spoke with says she's glad he'll be behind bars so he won't do this again anytime soon.

"I'm feeling very relieved," the victim said. "I'm glad karma finally got him. He's done this to one too many people and I'm glad he's going to be gone, put away for a while."
