Authorities in Colorado say they helped pull about six pounds of heroin off the streets on Wednesday.

According to the Morgan County Sheriff's Office a two-week investigation led up to a major bust in Fort Morgan. Two men delivered about three kilograms of heroin to an undercover officer.

Ricardo Urizabel-Lopez, 28, and Carlos Ruben Valenzuela-Navaa, 35, were arrested. Both are residents of Hermosillo, Mexico. The pair is facing charges of felony drug charges for possession and distribution.

Authorities estimate the street value of the heroin could be worth as much as $500,000. This is most likely the largest heroin bust in Colorado in the past 10 years according to the Drug Task Force.
