Woman suffering from dementia found safe

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - UPDATE (8:30 a.m.): Police say a citizen found Williams in a backyard and notified officers.

Williams was unhurt and is back home safe.

The police department thanks the public for their help in the search.


PREVIOUS: Springs police need the public's help locating a missing woman with dementia.

Larnice Williams, 71, has a history of wandering away from her home and has usually been located in the area of 4600 Pring Ranch Road. Police say Williams believes she is walking to her parents' house.

Williams was reported missing Monday night just before midnight. She was last seen in the area of 4600 Lasater Trail, just west of Barnes Road and Peterson Road. Police are asking people in the area to keep an eye out for her.

Williams is described as a 5-foot-5 black female with a medium build. She was last known to be wearing blue jeans and a dark brown coat and had rollers in her hair.
