The collision happened just after 5 p.m. near the Widefield/Security exit (exit 132) and involved three vehicle. The person killed was identified as 33-year-old Lucas Huffman of Colorado Springs.

Authorities say Huffman died on scene. Meisner and her passenger were not injured. Rodriguez was treated for minor injuries.
All three drivers were wearing seatbelts in the crash. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors. Charges for the crash are pending and the cause remains under investigation.
