GREEN MOUNTAIN FALLS, Colo. (KKTV)- Crews were called to a house fire in Green Mountain Falls on Friday.
The fire department told our reporter on scene that it was a vacation home that caught on fire, with no one inside. A family out of Texas owns the home. They added that the fire went four stories high and unfortunately the home is completely destroyed.
Firefighters say that they have the situation contained.
A crew with Smith Environmental and Engineering was working at a job site about three blocks away. They rushed to the house to assist the lone firefighter who was at the scene first.
"The crews just worked like crazy," laborer Blake Lindvig explained. "There was only one fireman with the first firetruck at first. Everybody worked together so swiftly. We were able to get the fire out before it took out other houses."
Lindvig wanted to give a shout out to his coworkers Demetrius and Jason along with the firefighters who helped battle back the blaze.
