Hikers find unconscious woman on northwest Colorado Springs hiking trail

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Search and rescue teams alongside the fire department was called to a hiking trail in northwest Colorado Springs for a woman who was found unconscious by hikers.

Crews were on scene at about 4 p.m. near Blodgett Peak Open Space. The area is just southwest of the United States Air Force Academy. A member of the Colorado Springs Fire Department told 11 News a woman was found unconscious on Dry Creek Trail after an apparent fall. It is believed she was out hiking by herself.

The woman was unresponsive when she was taken to the hospital. She was not publicly identified.
