Graffiti threat at Springs middle school not credible according to authorities

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Graffiti found in a bathroom stall in a Colorado Springs middle school does not appear to be a credible threat according to authorities.

School District 20 sent out the following message to parents of Eagleview Middle School on Wednesday:

Earlier today threatening graffiti was discovered on a bathroom stall at Eagleview Middle School. We immediately reported it to both the Academy District 20 Security and the Colorado Springs Police Department School Resource Officers (SRO). The CSPD SRO and security team members investigated the matter and the threat does not appear to be credible. As always, our staff will remain vigilant in our safety efforts and we will follow our established protocols and place additional security at the school tomorrow as a precautionary measure. Thank you for your continued cooperation and support.

John Jamison, Principal

The district did not clarify what the graffiti was. Eagleview Middle School is in the northwest part of Colorado Springs near Ute Valley Park.
