PUEBLO CO., Colo. (KKTV) - It's about that time of year again, when kids and families are gearing up for another school year of sports.
That means a lot of kids will be needing sports physicals so they can be on the team.
Southern Colorado Family Medicine has partnered with St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center to offer free sports physicals for students in grades six through 12 in Pueblo County.
According to a press release, appointments are available Friday, July 12, from 1 to 7 p.m. at Southern Colorado Family Medicine, 902 Lakeview Ave.
These free physical exams are open to all Pueblo City Schools, Pueblo School District 70 and private school students in Pueblo County regardless of health insurance status or whether or not they have a primary care physician.
Practice manager, Christine Medina says the physical exams allow students to partake in sports teams, but also promote overall good health.
