Free pet check for low-income families in Pueblo and Pueblo County

PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region is teaming up with local veterinarians to offer free pet exams and vaccinations. The offer is extended to low-income residents in Pueblo and Pueblo County.

The annual "Pet Check" event is scheduled for April 27. Tickets are free, but limited to two pets per household. Interested pet owners can get tickets starting April 10 by clicking here.

The pet wellness exam and vaccination are for cats and dogs. Vaccinations include rabies and distemper combination vaccinations. The event is taking place at Palace of Agriculture at the Colorado State Fairgrounds, 1001 Beulah Ave and will run from 9 a.m. to noon on April 27.
