Former Colorado detention deputy arrested for harassment and introduction of contraband

COSTILLA COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - A former detention deputy in Colorado is facing multiple charges including introduction of contraband.

The Costilla County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of 80-year-old Joseph Claude Harpe on Friday. He is facing charges of introduction of contraband, official misconduct and harassment. Details on the investigation were not made public.

The sheriff's office is reporting there is no danger to the public and Harpe was arrested without incident.
