Firefighters helped rescue people from a burning home early Sunday morning.

Capt. Dan Lynch with the Colorado Springs Fire Department said crews saw "notable" flames in the attic when reaching the home on Alexander Road just before 4:30 a.m.

"They were able to assist with the rescue and evacuation of all residents," Lynch said.

There were no significant injuries to any of the occupants.

"All minor injuries were treated here on scene," Lynch said.

Twenty-nine firefighters responded to the scene and were able to keep the fire contained to the attic.

Investigators are now working to determine what started the fire.
