Thanks to the quick work of several fire departments, a barn fully engulfed in flames was put out before it spread in Black Forest.

Crews including those from the Tri-Lakes Monument Fire Protection District, Wescott Fire Protection District, Falcon Fire Department and Black Forest Fire & Rescue all fought the fire Friday night.

They responded to the 700 block of Wildridge Road just after 11 p.m. Within 20 minutes, the fire was knocked down.

“There was no injuries, no damage to anything else on the property,” said assistant fire chief, James Rebitski.

The cause remains under investigation.
