PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - Firefighters are closing in on full containment on a fire burning in south Pueblo County.

A spokesperson with the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office tells 11 News the Vaughn View Fire remains 90 percent contained Sunday morning. She says firefighters expect to have the final 10 percent contained by nightfall.

The fire is burning in an area near Siloam and Vaughn View. Crews have been working the fire from both the ground and from the air. The final 10 percent to be contained is in an area with "tough" terrain that firefighters have to hike into and then cut down trees, the spokesperson said.

The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office says no structures are threatened in the area. The fire has burned 9 acres.
