Fire under control in Colorado Springs

Smoke could be seen in Colorado Springs Wednesday night as crews were called to a brush fire that may have involved a camper.

The fire was called in at about 8:15 p.m. in a field near Centennial and Fillmore, close to the VA hospital. When 11 News crews arrived on scene at about 8:40 p.m. the fire appeared to be under control.

11 News viewers sent pictures of the smoke from more than a mile away. Another viewer sent a photo of what appeared to be a camper on fire.
