Police need help identifying a 2nd vehicle possibly involved in deadly Highway 24 crash

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police are asking the public for help as they continue to investigate a deadly crash involving a motorcyclist near Manitou Springs.

Authorities were called to the scene at about 11:26 p.m. on Sept. 4 along Highway 24 near the Manitou Avenue overpass. Early into the investigation, it appeared to be a single-vehicle crash. On Tuesday, police announced a second vehicle may have been involved.

Investigators believe the motorcyclist may have crashed and then was hit by another driver who left the scene.

The rider was identified as 41-year-old Justin Lawahn Guthrie.
