Police still looking for suspects after elderly woman is hit by stolen golf cart at Pueblo chile festival

PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - Police say they are continuing to look for the pair who went for a joyride in a stolen golf cart and plowed into a group of people at the Pueblo Chile and Frijoles Festival over the weekend.

The duo reportedly drove the cart for several blocks before crashing into the crowd. An elderly woman was left with a broken arm and a few other bystanders suffered bumps and bruises.

A police captain initially told 11 News they arrested a person in the incident, but said Monday that person was detained and released and that they are still looking for the two men involved.

The incident happened Saturday at Union and Grand just before 4 p.m. Witnesses are urged to contact Officer Alarid with the Pueblo Police Department with any information they have. The officer can be reached at 719-553-3210.
