A string of robberies across the Colorado Springs area Sunday could be connected.

Between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m., crooks hit four different businesses on the east side of town.

The first place robbed was a Circle K at 5670 Palmer Park Blvd. Police say the single robber walked in at exactly 7 and helped themselves to cash and other items.

The crook or crooks moved south and held up a business on North Academy near Galley Road and a business on Galley at Wooten. The names of the businesses have not been released, but at least one was a liquor store.

Late Sunday night, two men wearing face masks robbed a Loaf n' Jug at 6695 Galley Road. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office confirmed with 11 News there were similarities between this robbery and the earlier three.

The sheriff's office and the Colorado Springs Police Department are now investigating whether the four robberies are indeed linked.
