Cars vandalized in early morning robberies

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) Neighbors say they are frustrated with a string of vandalisms that doesn't seem to stop.

"It makes you feel very vulnerable," admitted neighbor Stephanie Copeland. "People work hard. They do their best to try and have nice things and people just come through and destroy it."

The crime spree spanned across two different neighborhoods within 10 miles of one another on the east side of Colorado Springs. In the first neighborhood, people woke up to shattered car windows and glass everywhere. The second neighborhood, people found their cars broken into. Some found things missing, others found senseless destruction.

Police tell 11 News because of the extensive number of homes that were hit, they are still trying to figure out if they're connected.

In the mean time, neighbors are relying on each other and their home security to stop the people responsible.
