COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Jaws of Life were used to free a driver after two cars collided on North Academy Friday night.

The vehicles collided at the intersection of Academy and Village Road just before 11.

"No passengers, just drivers in both vehicles," said Sgt. Pam Farmer with the Colorado Springs Poice Department. "The SUV driver was pinned."

That driver was transported to the hospital after he was freed, Farmer said. His condition is unknown.

Police believe alcohol may have played a role in the crash.
