CANON CITY, Colo. (KKTV) - One man is charged in connection to a deadly shooting.

Canon City Police Department said Thursday 54-year-old Kenneth Sweet is charged with Second-Degree Murder and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
Sweet is currently in the custody of the Fremont County Sheriff's Office.
Police said officers were called to a neighborhood near City Hall off Macon Avenue just after 8 p.m Tuesday. The reporting party heard yelling that someone had been shot in the area of Third Street.
"When officers got here, they found a white male in front of the house who appeared to be deceased," said Sgt. Steve Huskey with the Canon City Police Department.
Officers detained Sweet on scene. Another man was also taken in for questioning but was later released. Police say there are no other suspects in this case.
Firefighters and medical crews on scene tried to revive the victim, but he eventually died. The exact cause of death will be determined by the coroner.
Police identified the victim as 27-year-old Ashton Ladd of Canon City.
"The information that I have is they all knew each other," Huskey said.
An eyewitness tells 11 News the shooting was in self-defense and is hoping Sweet's charges can be dropped soon.
