DIA placed in a 'ground stop' due to weather

DENVER (KKTV) - If you plan on flying out of DIA on Friday you should check the status of your flight after some afternoon weather delays.

The Denver International Airport was placed "in a ground stop" due to weather by the FAA. The airport tweeted out passengers should expect delays until the storm passes. The alert went out just after 2:30 p.m.

Just before 3 p.m. the ground stop was lifted and the airport was back to normal flight operations.
