Crook leaves store empty-handed after clerk refuses to give up cash

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A would-be robber left a Springs business empty-handed Friday night after the clerk flat out refused to cooperate.

Police say the suspect walked into an unnamed business in the 2700 block of North Nevada just after 10:30 p.m., hoodie pulled over his head and a mask covering his face. He demanded the clerk open the cash register. The clerk refused, and the suspect left.

Witnesses saw the suspect heading south, but police were unable to locate him after getting to the scene.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-10, thin white man. His estimated age was not given.
