Colorado officer busted in alleged drug deal


STERLING, Colo. (KKTV) - An officer at a Colorado correctional facility was busted in an apparent drug deal.

The Colorado Department of Corrections announced the arrest of two people following the incidentl at a Sterling McDonald's. The department says 31-year-old Mark English, who was employed as an officer at the Sterling Correctional Facility at the time, and 64-year-old Lora Wilson were observed making a "drug transaction." The incident happened on Feb. 27.

Wilson has a son who is currently incarcerated at the Sterling Correctional Facility. The pair are facing felony drug charges including conspiracy to introduce contraband.

Investigators with the Colorado Department of Corrections Inspector General’s Office and officers with the Sterling Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team were involved in the investigation.
